How to protect your monitor/Laptop from overheating?, Make a small fan at home

Make a small fan at home to protect your monitor and laptop from overheating, use general things that are present in home and build your own cooling fan easily with this method.

Daily new technology comes in market, but we will never say that old technology will go very soon, most of us have still monitors as most of people in third world countries doesn’t have enough money, so here I will share a method to protect  your monitor and laptop from overheating and way to loss your room temperature.

Many people have monitors up to this time, but monitors are losing their market very fast and LCD is taking their place, but for people who  still have monitor have problem of heating, monitor heat very fast and their temperature go very up, which is big problem for very one, so let’s start to build a fan for your monitor to protect it from overheating, and reduce your room temperature.

Build a fan for your monitor or for Laptop

Building a small fan for your monitor is not a difficult task, you can make it at home easily, you just need following items :

• A small motor or a fan  
• Some wires
• A USB wire
• Scosh Tape
• Tool box

How to grab these items?

Motor or Fan: You can grab motor from any toy, it is mostly available in moving toys  or from any extra power supply of computer,

 

Wires: can be easily obtained from nearest scarab shop or from any toy,

USB Wire: A USB wire is required to connect with computer, you can get it from computer shop,

Scosh Tape: you can get tape from any stationary.

Tool box: Use your tool box or get it from shop / you can use knife and screw drive.

Why should I build fan?

You can get a computer fan from market at low price, but making your own fan is a fun, especially if you are interested in electronics, if you think why you should build your fan then the answer is below:

Build your Fan easily at Home

After you have received all the stuff, let’s start building your fan :

Procedure

1.       First ready your fan by wiring it, make wires longer as much as required. (see image)

2.       Now ready your USB wire, by cutting USB wire from center point, after cutting it, select the right portion. (USB side),

3.       Now remove cover from wire, after removing cover you will see four wires,

4.       Now remove cover again from red and blue wire, (- , +) leave other two as they are, better if you cover remaining two with scosh tape, as they are useless. (Generally they are for transferring data)

5.       Now attach USB wires with fan, make sure that you connect right wires. i.e. Positive with positive and negative with negative. (Blue with blue and red with red)

6.       After connecting your wires, tape them carefully, as this is an important step, if you will not tape they may be join and cause a spark, which is dangerous for your computer as well as for you.

7.       Now connect to computer / Laptop and see result. (If you small something is burning, hurry remove fan, you have mis-connect wires or they are joined with each other.

Use your new fan with your monitor, place it on a top of monitor and start using it, remember that your fan must through air out, not inside for better results, but if you have laptop then you have to build a stand for it to work, you can make stand using solid book covers.
